Instructions In The Event Of Worker Injury

Certain state laws require employers to provide and pay for medical treatment if you are injured at work. We are pleased to provide this medical care through a Medical Provider Network approved by the Administrative Director of the Division of Workers’ Compensation. A Medical Provider Network (MPN) is a group of healthcare providers used by us to treat employees injured on the job.

We have elected to provide quality medical services for work-related injuries and illnesses by implementing an MPN, called WellComp. The WellComp MPN is a network of doctors and medical providers who understand how to diagnose and treat work-related injuries. These providers are committed to improving your physical well-being and returning you to work safely and as soon as possible.

An injured worker deserves timely, quality medical care, and may be assigned a specially-trained nurse or vocational specialist to work with them, TAP, and their doctor to help them recover from their injury or illness and help them return to work.

Workers´ Compensation

Workers´ compensation insurance provides six basic benefits: medical care, temporary disability benefits, permanent disability benefits, supplemental job displacement benefits, or vocational rehabilitation and death benefits. It is a no-fault system, meaning you don´t need to prove your injury was someone else´s fault in order to receive benefits. The system is based on a trade-off between employees and employers. Employees are entitled to receive prompt, effective medical treatment for on-the-job injuries no matter who was at fault and, in return, are prevented from suing their employers over those injuries.

While different state programs have different requirements, the following is a general description of what to expect if you are injured on the job; your state may differ:

Please contact 4 Wheel Parts if you have questions about workers´ compensation benefits.
